My wife and I have spent the past two-plus years building something we're genuinely proud of — a small, thoughtfully curated collection of retreats across Hocking Hills, Ohio and Virginia's Shenandoah Valley.
What started as Conner Homestead has grown into Hearth & Horizon Escapes, but our values haven't changed: exceptional properties, personal hospitality, and the belief that a great vacation starts long before check-in.
We're hands-on hosts who are always just a message away. If there's anything we can do to make your stay extraordinary — we will.

Common Questions
All properties include year-round hot tubs, gas grills with propane, fully equipped kitchens, outdoor gathering spaces, high-speed Wi-Fi, and all linens and towels. The Lodge and Cabin feature wood-burning fireplaces (firewood bundles available on site). The Stone House includes a propane fireplace and a private pool open seasonally May–September.
Maximum occupancy: 2 guests at the Conner Homestead Cabin · 14 guests at the Conner Homestead Lodge · 10 guests at The Stone House. Occupancy limits are firm due to licensing, safety, septic, and insurance requirements. Parties, events, and unregistered overnight guests are not permitted.
Check-in begins at 4:00 PM at all properties. Check-out is 11:00 AM at the Lodge and Cabin, and 10:00 AM at The Stone House. Early check-in may be available for direct bookings when scheduling allows — just ask.
Reservations booked more than 30 days in advance: 50% due at booking, balance auto-collected 30 days prior. Reservations booked within 30 days: full payment due at booking.
Cancellations 30+ days before arrival: full refund less $25 fee · 15–30 days: 50% refund less $25 fee · Within 14 days: non-refundable.
Pets are not currently permitted at any of our properties.
Absolutely. All existing reservations remain fully intact. Hearth & Horizon Escapes is the same ownership and team — we've simply grown and rebranded. Your booking, your terms, and your experience are entirely unchanged. Welcome back.
